What do I need to do with my shopping cart and gateway to be able to accept American Express?

  1. Log into your shopping cart administration.
  2. Go to "Cart Settings".
  3. Then click on step #4 "Payment/Gateway Settings".
  4. Check the box labeled "American Express".
  5. Save.
If you are processing automatic payments, then you will also need to configure your payment gateway to accept American Express. Please contact your payment gateway support staff for information on configuring their systems.
