By default the shopping cart will calculate rates using a "default" UPS account that does not receive any special discounts to shipping. Once you enter your account credentials the shopping cart will contact UPS and request rates that are specific to your company.
Additionally if you certify an access key with UPS then the shopping cart will automatically generate tracking numbers and shipping labels for you. The tracking number will be given to you and your shopper immediately. And you can print your shipping labels out using our "Print My Orders" tool.
Your UPS account number. You receive this number when you create an account with UPS. If you do not have a UPS account please contact UPS customer service.
Your UPS username. You receive this when you register with the UPS website.
If you have not registered online with UPS then:
Your UPS password. If you have not registered with UPS then follow the instructions listed above.
This is created after you have registered your UPS online account.
To request an access key:
Once you have successfully copied the access key into the shopping cart we will begin your UPS certification process. Please note that UPS certification can take up to 5 business days.
The status of your certification process will appear next to your access key inside the shopping cart. Possible status options are
Creating files - The shopping cart is currently creating the files and sending them to UPS. This takes one business day or less.
Waiting for UPS - We have sent your certification files to UPS and are waiting for a response from them. Normally UPS takes 2-4 business days to process the certification.
Certified - You have completed the certification process, your account is now using the access key to create tracking numbers and shipping labels.
